4 Cost Free Self-Care Activities that Can Change Your Life.

Over the years, so much information around self-care is being based on to improve our appearance - expensive skincare procedures, skincare product recommendations, cosmetic treatments and etc, instead of focusing on the peoples well-being.

But, you can literally have a spa in your home and you still can feel stressed or unsatisfied. Why? Because if you haven't done the inner work and you have a negative mindset, you can have no appreciation on what you have or life in general can still be perceived as negative.

It’s not about what you have, it’s how you use what you have, so here are the best self-care activities that are cost free and can be done everywhere.

1. Improve your mindset.

When you have a positive mindset you appreciate life at every stage, it doesn’t matter how much money you can spend on yourself, even when you don’t have any - by staying positive in a stressful time, no matter how hard it might sometimes be - is the most powerful cost free self-care activity you can do for yourself.

A major pro of positive mindset - It reduces stress! Long term stress can be a huge factor of many potential illnesses, disorders and other health problems.

You are the one that can improve your life and implement a positive mindset, not money, not anyone else, but You. So start to believe in yourself and change your perspective on life to something more positive and uplifting.

2. Be kind to yourself.

Have the same respect for yourself as you have for the others that you are looking up to.

Whatever it is that you are struggling with - a situation, person or a habit you have - you can get through it.

Stop putting yourself down, because of the things you have done in the past, instead focus on improving your present moment and your future.

3.Exercise - Workout, yoga, meditation, etc.

There is no excuse for not doing any exercise. You can do it wherever you can - at home, outside, in the car, etc. Stop looking for excuses and start with a 5-minute meditation to relax your mind or do some 5-minute stretching.

It will be a lot more beneficial in the long term than following step by step other people’s journeys and strive for their bodies. There is nothing wrong to get inspired by any of that, but it's a completely different story if that is exactly what you are striving for.

We all are unique and we all should embrace the body and beauty we already have instead of striving for someone else’s.

Here is an Easy meditation exercise:

For 2 - 5 minutes take a few deep breaths.

1. Relax your body and mind.

2. Slowly Inhale through nose and exhale through your month. When you exhale, try to set your intention that you are exhaling the negativity, the stress and the pressure you have.

3. When you are done. Set a positive intention for the day ahead.

Here are some easy stretching exercises for those who tend to spend a lot of their time at the desk:

Disclaimer: If you usually don't do stretching, be careful with the exercises and take it easy. You can feel tension during stretching, but if the tension becomes really painful - stop the exercise immediately!

4. Stop willing to control everything.

This is a hard one. Major Virgo here.

But...

Even when life is in complete chaos it can be perceived as an important and transforming life lesson and the best thing we can do is to believe and trust that everything will be alright.

Don't let any pressure of having it all together get to you. Sometimes it is better to take a step back and let things flow and see where it leads.

What we can control is our perception, the way we perceive things and how we behave towards ourselves and others.

I would like to end this post with this beautiful quote and I hope this post was in some way useful for you. Have an amazing day! 💛
